Introduction

The Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Association Co., Ltd. has launched "Home Training and Support Services for the Mentally Handicapped" in Tuen Mun as early as 2003. In September 2009, the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Tuen District Support Center-"Le Tun Ju" was formally established. The hostel and activity centre for the severely mentally handicapped in Lakeview Village, Tuen Mun is a temporary meeting place to provide daytime support services for the disabled in the district. As of November 2014, "Le Tun Ju" officially moved to the official venue of Leung King Village, Tuen Mun to provide services.

H.K.S.K.H. Tuen Mun District Support Centre has a number of barrier-free facilities, including entrances and exits, passages, wheelchair parking locations and accessible toilets. The design fully considers the needs of wheelchairs/persons with reduced mobility. Most of the uneven places are equipped with ramps, and the ramps are relatively flat, so wheelchair users can easily get on and off.
