Introduction

The "Volcano Discovery Hall" set up in Sai Kung City tells the story of ancient volcanoes in Hong Kong and how they shaped the landform of Hong Kong over the past 100 million years. It introduces the types of volcanoes, their eruption methods and the formation process of the hexagonal rock pillars. Visit the rock specimens produced by different volcanoes around the world, and explain the methods to explore the traces of volcano history; the center is located at the gateway of the Hong Kong Geopark and will be a good starting point for tourists to visit the geopark.
